Welcome back zombies,
Our next installment could definitely be watched in the summer months with a bucket of freshly charred BBQ. But, we chose it for this Halloween because of the wonderful blood and gore that ensues from each of it’s frames. Also, we love BBQ. Pass over the barbecue sauce because we need to give our headcheese a little moisture.
Enjoy buzz heads.
The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2 / Dir. Tobe Hooper / 1986
If you still have brains from Night of the Living Dead then you might want to sit down for dinner with the Sawyer family. The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2 is on this list because of its absurdity, gore and radical departure in tone from the original father film. The film has an impressive scare scene as well with Stretch unknowingly unleashing Leatherface to destroy precious vinyl records in the TV station. It has a great mix of both horror and comedy that was missed and scoffed at because it wasn’t just like the original. But it was just like the original. It has elements of dark humor that the original had and it also has extreme moments of horror, like the original. Fans just can’t be happy. But for now, it’s make this list because Leatherface is indeed a Halloween icon. I mean when you’re wearing human flesh as your Halloween costume who do you think you’re trying to be?
